Founded in 2020, the Order of Glaucus was established with a clear purpose: to celebrate Mardi Gras culture while making a meaningful, year-round impact beyond the season.

Membership in the Order of Glaucus is open to individuals age 21 and over who value connection, civic engagement, and giving back. While the annual Carnival Ball and parade participation remain cornerstones of our Mardi Gras tradition, the heart of Glaucus is found in its commitment to service. Through hands-on philanthropy and ongoing support of local nonprofits, members actively invest in the communities we call home.

Beyond formal events, Glaucus fosters lasting friendships and leadership through social gatherings, service initiatives, and opportunities to shape the organization’s future. Whether participating in a charitable effort or celebrating together during Carnival, members share a common goal: strengthening community through purpose-driven tradition.
